Josephine A. 'Jo' Boss

Josephine A. "Jo" Boss, age 84, was born in Monroe, Wisconsin, on December 23, 1924, to Louis and Helen (Limacher) Felder. She died October 24, 2009, at Meriter Hospital in Madison. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1942 and from Minneapolis School of Art in Minneapolis, MN.

She was a charter member of the VFW Auxiliary of Monroe and St. Victor Catholic Church. She was employed at St. Clare Hospital of Monroe for 24 years as Supervisor of admissions and switchboard. She was an avid reader and dearly enjoyed time spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Christi (Jim) Flanagan and Kelli Boss of Monroe, WI; son, Michael (Michelle) Boss of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Jim and Steve Flanagan, Amy Maag, Wendy Holmes, Bethany Flanagan, Kaci and Kari Rosenstiel, and Macy, Alexandria and Sophia Boss; great-grandchildren, Justin, Eric, Ashley, Amber, Angie and Tristin; and one soon-to-be great-grandchild. She is further survived by sisters-in-law, Shilah Felder of Merritt Island, FL, and Betty Felder of Monroe, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Carl in 1925, Fred in 1978 and Lou in 1990.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at St. VICTOR CATHOLIC CHURCH with Monsignor Thomas Campion celebrating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Monroe.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME with a Rosary service at 7 P.M.

A Memorial Fund is being established in Jo's memory.
