John P. Hauser, 55, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, January 13, 2013 at his home in Machesney Park, Il. He was born on February 16, 1957 to Shirley (Wheeler) O'Shaughnessy and Robert Hauser. John was the third oldest of 6 children and was a baptized Jehovah's Witness. He graduated from Brodhead High School in 1975. Right after high school he began making his name in the tire world. He started working with Gempler's Tire & Service. His potential in the tire industry was recognized by many companies such as Pomp's, CBA, Bauer Built and most recently GCR Tire. In 1978 he began his family when marrying Kathy Schmid. They had their first daughter Amanda in 1979, a son, Andrew in 1982, and finally another little girl, Jessica in 1988. His family expanded when he remarried on June 28, 2002 to his loving wife Vickie (Fallon) Hauser. He not only gained her but a stepdaughter, Fallon Smith, as well. He never missed an opportunity to make sure his family knew that he loved them. As a family their favorite good bye was always "love yaaa see ya later bye". He had an intense love for his family and it showed through in everything he did. John enjoyed camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, being with his wife, kids and grandkids, going to movies and spending time outdoors and golfing. Everyone that knew John loved him. He was full of humor and spirit. He could make you laugh at the worst of situations and always saw the positive in everything. There was always a joke that he knew everyone and never met a stranger. He was outgoing and always took an interest in everyone. John also had a great love of music. He had a song for everything. He loved oldies, country and of course yodeling. He was always walking around humming or singing a tune.

John is survived by his wife, Vickie (Fallon) Hauser; daughter, Amanda (Hauser) Byrne; son, Andrew Hauser; daughter, Jessica Hauser; stepdaughter, Fallon Smith; grandsons, Nathaniel (Buddy) Byrne and Nicholas Byrne; granddaughter, Natilee Chaney; brothers, David (Sue) Hauser, Richard Hauser, Shane (April) Hauser and Austin Hauser; nephews Josh Hauser, Aaron Hauser; and niece Lisa (Hauser) Bourquin.
