Jerry L. Brewer, age 69, of Brooklyn, formerly of Albany, died on Sunday, July 5, 2015 in Ontario, Wisconsin. He was born on October 15, 1945 in Stoughton, the son of Marvin and Elaine (Hansen) Brewer and was a 1963 graduate of Albany High School.
Jerry was the most committed husband, father, brother-in-law, father-in-law, and grandfather. He was our hero and fought all his struggles with strength and courage. Jerry was married to the love of his life, Diane, for 42 years. His love for his grandchildren was abundant. Jerry had a love of mules, farming and traveling.
Jerry and Diane Gurns were married on March 2, 1973 in Albany.
Jerry was a welder with Varco Pruden in Evansville for over 40 years and farmed in Brooklyn Township.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Brewer of Brooklyn, children: Lisa (George) Klongland of Rockwall, TX; Brenda Brewer of Oregon; Jason Brewer of Albany; Dean (Michelle) Brewer of Brooklyn; Eddie (Hannah) Brewer of Janesville; sister, Sharon (Kenneth) Zee of Darlington; sisters-in-law, Darlene (Terry) Brewer of Brooklyn; Marjorie (Phil) Scharf of Beaver Dam; Marina Gurns of Monroe; brother-in-law, David Gurns of Albany. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren: Kyle (Autumn), Kelsey, Connor, Cayden, Skylar, Isabelle, Carver, Addisyn, Gaje, Aidriana, and Zander, and 1 great-granddaughter, Callie.
He is predeceased by his parents, and brother, Terry Brewer.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Dr., and N. 18th Ave in Monroe. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, July 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A memorial fund is being established in Jerry's memory.
