James R. Siebert, age 73, of Monroe, died on Monday December 1, 2014 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on November 8, 1941 in Downers Grove, IL; the son of Melvin and Grace (Larson) Siebert and graduated from Downers Grove High School.
James and Gail Heitz-Chambers were married on June 5, 1976 in Weaton IL.
He was a bar owner and worked at several other local businesses in the Monroe area.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Siebert of Monroe; children: Patt (Bob) Chambers Hanson of Monroe; Jean (Tom) Hurd of Browntown; Kelly Détente of AZ; Kimberly (Steven) Bush of Cole Valley, IL; Michael (Cristine) Siebert of AZ; brothers, Dr. John (Michelle) Siebert of Kailua Kona, HI; Jeff (Jan) Siebert of Sahuarita, AZ; Dr. Joe (Karen) Siebert of Downers Grove, IL; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr., and 18th Avenue with Lowell Stuessy officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 4th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A memorial fund is being established in Jim's memory.
