James F. Lincicum, age 68, of rural South Wayne, died on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at his home. He was born on October 10, 1941, the son of Francis M. and Florence M. (Harvey) Lincicum. He farmed in the Green and Lafayette County areas the greater part of his life. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #754. Jim enjoyed spending time with his friends, wherever he would meet them, especially if it involved a cup of coffee. He also spent a great deal of time working on his computer.
Jim is survived by his children, Jeffery Tway, Jody (Tim) Grossen; three grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Jeannette) Lincicum of Freeport, IL, Eugene Lincicum of South Wayne, Gregory (Kathleen) Lincicum of Juda; sisters, Betty (John) Daehlin of Monroe, Shirley (Ronald) Duchow of Lena, IL also several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; daughter, Julie and a brother, Richard "Hoot" Lincicum.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2010, at the Hanson Funeral Home in South Wayne. Officiating will be Pastor Herb Bollman of Community Reformed Church in Freeport, IL. Burial will be in the LaDue Cemetery in Wayne Township, Lafayette County. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hanson Funeral Home in South Wayne. A memorial fund is being established in Jim's memory.
