Hyon Chu Banta age 51 of Monroe, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Hyon Chu was born in Seoul, Korea on June 6, 1961, the daughter of Kang Chuin Qwan and Eh Soon Eh. She came to the United States in June, 1985 and resided in Kentucky before moving to Green County in 2003. She has been employed at Jack Links in New Glarus for the past 10 years.

Hyon Chu is survived by her son, Ryan (Angela) Banta of New Albany, IN; her father, several siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews in Korea. She was preceded in death by her mother.

A visitation will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, on Saturday, January 12, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. followed by graveside services at Bethel Hawthorne Cemetery, rural Monroe, with Pastor Randy Booth officiating.
