Howard T. "Mike" Flood, age 80 formerly of Albany-Evansville area, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Sunnyside Home in Dodgeville, WI. He was born December 2, 1930 in Albany Township, Green County, Wisconsin, the son of William and Alice (Thickpenny) Flood and graduated from Albany High School. Howard entered the U.S. Army on March 8, 1951 in Milwaukee, WI and was discharged on December 8, 1952 at Camp McCoy, WI as a PFC. and received the Korean Service Medal & U.N. Service Medal.

Howard married Grace Peckham Ruef and later married Neva Westrick. Mike worked at General Motors in Janesville, Chrysler in Belvidere, and worked as a mechanic at Karlen Ford & on his own.

Surviving are his daughters, twins- Andrea (Doug) Castro of Rockford, IL & Diane (Jerry) Birnig of Horicon, also Kimberly Hanson; brothers, Willie (Joan) Flood of Albany & Walter (Gloria) Flood of Monticello; sister, Dorothy (Edwin) Laskowski of Beloit; and many Grandchildren, Nieces & Nephews. He was predeceased by his Parents; son, Patrick; and brothers, Robert & Donald Flood.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & N 18th Avenue in Monroe with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow in Union Cemetery, rural Albany, WI.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. A Memorial Fund is being established in Mike's memory. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com
