Homer D. Miller Jr. age 86 of Monroe, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Aster Retirement Community where he had lived the past three years. Homer was born April 27, 1925 in Green County, the son of Homer and Mathilda (Walter) Miller Sr.
Homer's favorite hobby was tinkering with motors.
He is survived by three sisters, Helen Mayne of Monroe, Darlyne (Kenneth) Klossner of Brodhead, and Jean Nybroten of Monroe; a brother, Paul E. Miller of Brodhead; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Muriel, Bruce, Chester, Dwight, Gayle, and Ransom Miller; and four sisters, Leatta Busjahn, Viola Baltzer, Pearl Rudy, and Sylvia Eichstadt.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, with Jim Ackerman of Liberty Baptist Church officiating. A luncheon will be held at American Legion Post #84 followed by burial in Oneco Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
