Grace M. Fields, age 86 of Shullsburg, WI passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI. She was born March 3, 1931 in Menominee, IL the daughter of Albert and Theresa (Imbus) Erner. Grace was united in marriage to LeRoy R. Fields on June 11, 1952 in Menominee. She and LeRoy lived in Menominee until 1963 when they moved to Shullsburg where they lived the rest of their lives. Grace worked at Atwood Manufacturing in Stockton, IL until retiring in 1991.

Grace is survived by her five children: Mark (Laurie) Fields and Sandy (Bo) Eicher both of Shullsburg, Michael (Mickey) Fields of Darlington, WI, Sharon (Rich) Johnson of Grosse Pointe Shores, MI, and Dennis (Kelly) Fields of Monroe, WI; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Elaine (Clinton) White of Galena, IL and LaVonne (Robert) Spillane of Apple River, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: LeRoy Fields on January 8, 2016; and two grandchildren: Karissa Fields and Chase Capp.

Grace was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Shullsburg and the Shullsburg Homemakers Club. She enjoyed spending time at the Senior Citizens building in Shullsburg where she would visit with her friends. Grace spent a lot of her time coloring, doing puzzles, crocheting, and playing bingo. She had a gentle soul and loved to spend time with and take care of her cats, especially Bandit and Bert. Above all, Grace cherished her family and all of the great memories they shared together. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church (344 N. Judgement Street, Shullsburg) with Rev. Sudhakar Devarapu officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (235 N. Judgement Street, Shullsburg) where a rosary will be held at 3:30 P.M. A visitation will also be held Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the church.
