Gerald W. Bruehlman age 52 of Argyle passed away peacefully on February 23, 2015 at his home. He was born June 8, 1962 in Monroe, WI, the son of John William and JoAnne Helen (Isely) Bruehlman. Gerald lived in Argyle his entire life where he worked for the village of Argyle as street and water superintendent for 28 years. Due to a brain tumor he was no longer able to work but could be seen walking the sidewalks of the village that he once took great pride in maintaining.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Michele, at home; his parents: John and JoAnne Bruehlman of Argyle; his children: Nadean (Gene) Ho, Myrtle Beach, SC, Kevin Bruehlman, Argyle, Kyle (Kasey) Bruehlman, Monroe, WI, Brock Bruehlman and Erin Bruehlman, both at home; four grandchildren: Barry, Ella Buckley, Kruz and Luna Ho; his two brothers: Loren (Kristi), Jim (Lisa Bina) Bruehlman both of rural Argyle; and one sister: Chris (David) Goff, Fairbanks, AK. He was preceded in death by one sister: Laurel Bruehlman; and his sister-in-law: Marjean Bruehlman.

Gerald was a member of Cornerstone Lutheran Church in Argyle and very active in many capacities in the church. He served a number of terms on its church council, some as its president and also on Cornerstone's building committee. He also taught adult Sunday school and filled the pulpit at a number of churches in the area over many years. Gerald will always be remembered by his family and friends for having a strong faith. He was very active on a local level where he was a member of Argyle-Adams fire department and successfully competed in a number of water fight competitions throughout southwest Wisconsin as their nozzle man and won numerous trophies. Gerald was also a member of Argyle-Adams Ambulance service for many years and on a county level, served as a Lafayette County Deputy Coroner for six years. He enjoyed playing euchre, golf and collecting Red Wing Pottery. Gerald was proud of his Hole-in-one at Ludden Lake and winning couples league with Michele a number of times at Yellowstone Golf Course.

A funeral service will be held Friday, February 27 at 11:00 A.M. at Cornerstone Lutheran Church (1540 Old Highway 81, Argyle, WI 53504) with Rev. Ron Brubakken and Rev. Richard Ewing co-officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Argyle. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Cornerstone Lutheran Church.
