Frank "Junior" Leopold, age 86 of Juda, died Friday, June 25, 2010 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. Frank was born August 1, 1923 in Monroe, the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Tobin) Leopold. He married Rosalie Clark on April 28, 1945 in Spring Grove Township. Frank farmed in Jefferson Township for many years before moving into Juda in 1974. He then worked at Juda Lumber and the Loafing Shed for several years.

He was an active member of Oakley Union United Methodist Church where he served on various committees throughout the years. Frank was a skilled woodworker who was always tinkering with a new project.

He is survived by his wife Rosalie Leopold of Juda; three children, Sherri (Duane) Siedschlag of Mackinaw, IL, Stuart (Beth) Leopold, and Wendy Althaus (Don Ormond), all of Monroe; 7 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; a sister, Charlotte Kendall of Darlington; and a brother, Larry Leopold of Monroe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, LaVerne Leopold; and a sister, Carol Moore.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Oakley Union United Methodist Church with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe.
