Frank J "Coach" "General" Milz, 74 years old of Paddock Lake, WI, was reunited with his beloved wife "Wally" Wednesday April 2, 2008. He was born May 29, 1933 in Monroe, WI, the son of the late Paul P. and Lois L. (Boeck) Milz. From 1954 until 1960 Frank proudly served in the US Army. In 1961 Frank and his wife moved to Paddock Lake, WI, where he became a history teacher at Central High School. He founded the first Key Club at the school, was senior class advisor for many years, was head track coach from 1969-79, assistant football coach from 1961-92, assistant basketball coach from 1961-79 and statistician for the basketball and football teams from 1961-2000. Before his retirement in 1997, Frank also drove a school bus at the High School for 29 years, received the McDonald's Golden Apple award, was in the Who's Who among teachers, and is on the Central High School Wall of Success. Frank was a charter member of the Westosha Kiwanis Club, loved reading, music, watching sports, traveling, and especially being with his wife, children and grandchildren. Most people remember Frank's sense of humor and that he always had candy in his pocket. On October 29, 1957 he married the love of his life Waltraude "Wally" Schweiss in Mannheim, Germany, and she preceded him in death on January 4, 2006.

Survivors include two children, Cynthia (David) Nulph of Trevor, WI, and David (Margi) Milz of Bristol, WI; five grandchildren, David, Derek, Brittany, Dustin, and Madeline; three brothers, Paul (Janeice) Milz and Tony Milz both of Evansville, WI, and Norman (Janet) Milz of Portage, WI; sister-in-law, Linda Lassow of Sun Prairie, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Lehr.

The Milz family would like to extend a special thank you to the Hospice Alliance Nurses who gave great comfort to both Frank and the family during this difficult time.

Funeral services with mass of Christian burial will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Holy Name Church, 30100 Wilmot Rd. (Hwy C),Wilmot, WI. Interment with military honors will follow in Salem Mound Cemetery, Silver Lake, WI. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Strang Funeral Home, 1055 Main St. (Rte 83), Antioch, IL.
