DARLINGTON - Five people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 3:45 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Saint Peters Road and Prairie Road in Seymour township west of Darlington.
Deputies report a vehicle driven by Erica R. Leahy, 18, Shullsburg, failed to stop at a stop sign on Prairie Road and collided with a vehicle driven by Elizabeth T. Reuter, 24, Platteville.
Reuter and her passengers, Theresa M. Reuter, 25, Shullsburg, Jasmine E. Reuter, 3, Platteville, and William Reuter, 2, Shullsburg, were taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County by Rural Medical Ambulance. Leahy was taken to Southwest Health Care in Platteville by Shullsburg Ambulance.
Leahy was cited for failure to obey a stop sign. Elizabeth Reuter was cited for driving after suspension and failure to have a child in an appropriate safety restraint seat.
The vehicles received moderate damage and were towed from the scene.
The Darlington Fire Department and Belmont Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
