Evelyn H. Butts age 59 of rural Monroe, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at her home following a long illness. Evelyn was born January 19, 1955 in Monroe, the daughter of Robert and Abby Falk. Evelyn graduated from Monroe High School in 1973 and married Bradley Butts on July 24, 1982 in Browntown. She worked for various farms, restaurants, and taverns for many years. She and her family lived in Indiana for 11 years before moving back to Green County in 2011. She enjoyed watching the Packers, spending time outdoors, and tending to cattle. She loved the two motorcycle trips she and Brad made to the west coast.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Brad Butts of rural Monroe; a daughter, Stefani Butts of Fort Wayne, IN; her father, Robert (Esther) Falk of Monroe; a sister, Carolyn (Brian) Bauman of rural Juda; and a brother, Jeff (Katie) Falk of rural Monroe; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1975.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe. Pastor Wayne Gregory will officiate with a luncheon to follow at the Peace United Church of Christ, Browntown. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials are suggested in care of Brad Butts.
