Elizabeth "Beth" R. Hartwig, age 38, of Monroe, died on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at her home. She was born on January 2, 1972, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Gary and Charlotte (Hemphill) Hartwig. Beth attended Le-Win and Monroe Schools. She enjoyed working with children, having worked at the Rainbow and Small World Daycare centers.
Surviving are her children, Cody Meighan, Kylie and Kirsten Kundert; parents, Gary and Charlotte Hartwig, all of Monroe; brother, Mike Hartwig of Wausau. She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Stan and Pauline Hemphill; her paternal grandparents, Frank and Elda Hartwig; uncle, Ivan Hartwig.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2010, at Washington Reformation United Church of Christ, rural Monticello. Officiating will be Pastor Mary Gafner. Family burial will be at a later date. A visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home. A memorial fund is being established in Beth's memory.
