Eleanor B. Junge, age 89, of Windsor, died peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2011 at the Willows Nursing and Rehab center in Sun Prairie.

She was born September 26, 1921 to Benjamin and Alma (Emberson) Hermanson in Blanchardville and graduated from Blanchardville High School. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Madison and worked as a waitress and met her husband of 45 years, Lloyd Junge. They were married on October 5, 1946 and lived on the family farm in Morrisonville until their retirement and move to Windsor in 1989. Eleanor truly loved being a farmers' wife and nurtured everything on the farm whether it needed it or not. If you knew Eleanor you have heard the stories of days gone by and living on the farm which she referred to as "Paradise". She was most happy when baking, cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry, or taking care of the little ones, and she was good at doing it all. With the help from family and good neighbors, she was able to live independently at her home in Windsor for almost 20 years after her husband passed away in 1991.

Eleanor is survived by her son, Glen (Barbara) of Windsor; grandson, Scot (Beth) Junge, Fitchburg, granddaughter, Shelly Lochner (John Skibba) DeForest; great-granddaughters, Kaidi Maag (fiancé Ben Ebert), Amanda Lochner, Audrey Junge; great-great-grandson, Jayson Maag; sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Madison, Carolyn (Ken) Poulsen, Florida; brother, Richard Hermanson, Blanchardville; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lloyd, her son, Dean and a brother, Otis Hermanson.

The family appreciates the caregivers at the Willows and Care Wisconsin.
