Elaine H. Trumpy, age 76 of Albany, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at her home.
Elaine was born August 17, 1932 in Postville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Ludwig and Adelaide (Post) Zoller. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1950 and married Floyd J. Trumpy on September 17, 1950 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe.
Elaine and Floyd farmed on the Trumpy home farm in Mount Pleasant Township until moving to Albany Township in 1982.
She worked in the housekeeping department of Monroe Clinic Hospital for 20 years before retiring in 2007.
Elaine was a member of Zwingli United Church of Christ of Monticello and Zwingli Ruth Circle. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Trumpy of Albany; five children, Linda Trumpy of Monroe, Beth (John) Hellwig of Brodhead, David Trumpy, Donald (Julie) Trumpy, and Dale (Ann) Trumpy, all of Monticello; five grandchildren, Penny Trumpy, Lynn (Jason) Pendergrass, Tori Trumpy, Dustin Trumpy, and Cassandra Trumpy; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Pendergrass, Jacob Stumlin, Jarred Pendergrass, and Isabelle Stumlin; a sister-in-law, Meredith Zoller of Watertown, WI; and an aunt, Elaine Eccless of Clearwater, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Eugene and Ludwig Zoller Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello, with Rev. Lawrence Balleine officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Monticello. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, at the VOEGELI-NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monticello. A memorial fund will be established in Elaine's name.
