WACO, TEXAS - Dorothy Leona Haegele, 91, formerly of New Glarus, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 28, 2010, in Waco, Texas. Born July 28, 1919, in Riley, WI, she was the daughter of Jesse and Oral May (Spitler) Beckwith.
Dorothy is survived by her son, LeRoy (Carol) Marty of Lake Placid, FL; granddaughter, Sheree (Kurt) Holland of Orlando, FL; grandson, Scott (Paula) Marty of Monroe, WI; her beloved great-grandchildren Travis and Tierra Marty of Orlando, FL; Tyler Marty of Blanchardville, WI; Mitchell and Samantha Marty of Monroe, WI; one sister Esther (Adolph) Norderhaug of River Falls, WI; two brothers Bernard (Louise) Beckwith of Stoughton, WI, and Robert (Mae) Beckwith of New Glarus, WI; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Haegele; her parents, brothers Raymond, John, Howard, Delmer, and Jesse Jr. and a daughter, Sherrie Lea.
A memorial service for family is being planned by her grandchildren. Dorothy will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Madison, WI.
