Dorothy Ann Fox, age 80 of South Wayne, died on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at her home. She was born on July 11, 1928, the daughter of Alvin and Merle (Corbin) Hendrickson. She attended Biggs Country School. On June 17, 1947, she was united in marriage to Francis Fox at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gratiot.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Altar Society in Gratiot. Dorothy loved flowers, antiques, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be forever in our hearts.

Survivors include her husband, Francis, of South Wayne; sons, Jim Fox (Mary Nelson), La Crosse, and John (Janet) Fox, Wiota; daughters, Barbara (Donald) Stofflet, of Boscobel, Linda Shultz (W. Chris Hanken) of Maquoketa, IA, Terri (Mike) Torrisi, of Orangeville, IL, Mary Kant, of Janesville, Patricia (Tom) Staver of Scales Mound, IL, Laurie (Curt) Meier of South Wayne, Debra (Steve) Weber of Platteville; Diane (York) Cherrey of Shullsburg; and special son, Jim (Big Jim) Doherty of Peru, S.A.; 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Homer Hendrickson, of Blanchardville; and sister, Eileen Weiler, of Brodhead.

She was predeceased by her parents, son-in-law, LaVerne Stauffer, and one grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 9, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gratiot with celebrant, Fr. David Wanish. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Gratiot.

A visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME, 1455 Mansion Dr., Monroe.
