Dorothea M. Indergand

Dorothea (Dorothy) M. Indergand, age 84, a long-time resident of Monroe, WI, died on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Monroe Manor following complications arising from congestive heart failure.

The former Dorothea Norder-Buchholtz was preceded in death by her first husband, Rodney Buchholtz, in October 1974. In May 1979 she married Louis Indergand, also a long-time resident of the Monroe area. She and Louis enjoyed many wonderful years at their summer "get-a-way" at Castle Rock. Their Monroe home has been a gathering place for family and friends during Cheese Days, the Green County Fair, and Hot-Air Balloon Rally. Mrs. Indergand was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church and Circle No. 2.

Dorothea is survived by her husband, Louis; a son, Robert Buchholtz of Waukesha, WI; and three grandchildren, David Buchholtz, Portland, OR, Molly Schaber, Glendale, WI, and Emily Buchholtz, Waukesha, WI. In November, she became a proud great-grandmother for the first time to Sonora Sheedy-Buchholtz, Portland, OR. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Dorothea has been preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma (Kundert) and Ethel (Jones), and five brothers, Kenneth, Raymond, Fredrick, Robert, and Herbert in infancy.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dottie and Ken Rufer, Monroe; Alice and Lynn Leaich, Loves Park, IL; and Dorothea's sister-in-law Olga Norder, Monroe, for assistance and support to Dorothea and Louis for many years.

In accordance with Dorothea's request, cremation services will be provided by Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe, WI. In lieu of formal funeral services and visitation, a private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
