Doris E. Kegl, age 97 of Monroe, died Friday, September 11, 2015 at her home. Doris was born on February 24, 1918 in Blanchardville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Roy and Luella (Johnson) Robb. Doris graduated from Argyle High School in 1936 and attended Groves Secretarial School for Girls in Madison. She returned to Monroe and worked at the First National Bank and as a Register in Probate for Green County. Doris later worked at the Swiss Colony as Director of Credit and assistant to Ray Kubly Sr. for 25 years until retiring in 1980. Doris married Walter J. Kubly in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1968. Doris married Eric Soros-Kegl in February, 1977. Doris and Eric enjoyed traveling, RVing, and boating. Their expeditions took them throughout the United States and Canada in their large motor home, every country in Europe, every island in the Caribbean, and six months each year at their home in Naples, Florida.

Doris was a people person and loved to visit. She was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church and past Elder, a lifelong member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, The Sons of Norway, and was an active participant in the Democratic Party. She loved reading, dancing, and entertaining. Doris and friends had a comedy trio called the "Lemon Sisters" who performed for various groups.

She is survived by her niece, Ginger (Pete) Jaggi of Argyle; nephews, Lavern (Carol) Nall of Mequon, WI and Taryn (Kathy) Nall of Oconto Falls, WI; great nieces and nephews, Alan (Jolene) Kolb, Brian (Kim) Kolb, Clayton (Marina) Nall, Stacy Nall, Jason (Katy) Nall, and Josh (Mel) Nall. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, Walter Kubly and Eric Kegl.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Union Presbyterian Church, Monroe, with Pastor Jesse Larson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 15, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe. A memorial fund will be established in Doris' name for the Union Presbyterian Church.
