Donna R. Goebel, age 63 of Browntown, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at U.W. Hospital. Donna was born November 7, 1946 in Monroe, the daughter of Oliver and Florence (Trumpy) Welton.
She married Karl B. Goebel on January 31, 1987 in Monroe.
Donna and Karl owned and operated Goebel's Inn of Browntown for the past ten years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and socializing.
Donna is survived by her husband, Karl Goebel of Browntown; four children, Matt (Jane) Frauchiger of Sun Prairie, Pam (Tracy) Hamilton, Kate (Dean) Ethridge, and Josh Frauchiger, all of Monroe; five step-children, Jay (Sarah) Goebel, Monroe; Randy (Nicolet) Goebel, Monroe; Maureen (Jim) Gordon, Oregon, WI; Matt Goebel, Monroe; and Brenda Landsberg, Monroe; 12 grandchildren; three sisters, Joann (Gordon) Reed of Janesville, Jeanie (Bert) Knapp of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Lynn (Roger) Zimmerman of Monroe; and two brothers, Stanley (Jody) Welton of Westminster, CO, and Phillip (Marlene) Welton of Mountain, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Welton in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe. Reverend William "Mike" Heath of St. John's United Church of Christ will officiate with interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. A celebration of Donna's life will be held at Goebel's Inn following the service.
