MONROE - Donald Lee Wyttenbach, age 75 of Monroe died on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He dealt with his diagnosis of cancer the way he lived his life, still caring more about his family than his own struggles. Don was born on April 19, 1936 on the family farm in rural Green County, Wisconsin to Inez (Moen) and Alfred Wyttenbach, the fourth child of eight children. He attended the Postville rural school near Blanchardville and was a 1954 graduate of the New Glarus High School. Upon graduation from High School, Don served his country in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy, Don was united in marriage to Jeanette Hendrickson on October 6, 1956 at the Blanchardville Lutheran Church. Upon discharge, Don began his 37-year career at Industrial Combustion in Monroe. He requested an early retirement to enable him to care for his wife, who was challenged with early dementia. His devotion to her will be remembered by many. He and Jeanette were blessed with 6 children. He was very proud of his children, their spouses and his grandchildren. Don was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe. His strong faith and passion for gardening was a reflection of his simple life, in which he shared the fruits of his labor with many.

I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that day. 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
