MONROE/STOUGHTON - Donald A. Jerdee, age 56 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly at the Monroe Clinic Hospital on Thursday, November 20, 2008. He was born in Stoughton on February 17, 1952, a son of Arthur and Marie (Wersland) Jerdee. In April of 1975, he was married to Cathy Brugman. Cathy preceded him in death in 2000. Don worked at Purina Mills for 25 years, after which he sold feed, and then went into business with his son at the Beast Buffet pet supply store in Monroe. Don loved talking and traveling, and he made friends wherever he went.

He is survived by his son Eric (Robin) Jerdee; his life partner Claudia Brugman, his mother, Marie Jerdee; brother, Larry (Vinnie Thousand) Jerdee; sister, Judy (Ronny) Day; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Cathy; his father, Art; sisters, Susan and Laurie; and brother, Jerry.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton with Deacon Bill Bussan officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 23 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 5 p.m., and will greet friends again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Following services on Monday, a luncheon will be held at the VFW Hall in Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Don's name to your favorite animal charity.
