Don A. Grunder, age 71 of Monroe, died Monday, November 21, 2011 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. Don was born January 7, 1940 in Monticello, the son of Frederick and Meta (Baumgartner) Grunder. He attended Monticello High School and married Betty DeRemer.
Don worked for many years at Beloit Corp before moving to Rockford and later Madison. He has resided at Churchill Woods Apts. for the last several years.
He is survived by a son, Cary (Aimee Kent) Grunder of Madison; three granddaughters, Sophie and Tess Grunder, Samantha Goodman; three brothers, Norman (Patricia) Grunder of Monroe, Gary Grunder of Monticello, and Gordon (Judy) Grunder of Monroe; three sisters, Betty (LaVerne) Hardyman of Darlington, Carol (Richard) Losenegger of Mt. Horeb, and Karen (Steve) Rackow of Monroe; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Rona Grunder and Sheri Goodman; two brothers, Royal and Rodney Grunder; and three sisters, Judy Grunder, Carla Mader, and Brenda in infancy.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at 3:30 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, with Rev. Margo Peterson officiating.
