Delvon "Del" J. Tregloan, age 79 of Shullsburg, WI passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington, WI. He was born February 13, 1936 the son of Mylroie and Jessie (Hagar) Tregloan in Woodford Township, WI. Del Graduated from Shullsburg High School in 1954 and later graduated from Barber school in Chicago. He was united in marriage to Deloris Scott in February 1960 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg. She preceded him in death in 1971. He later married Jean Teutschmann on July 14, 1973 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg. Following his graduation from High School Del joined the Marines and served in Okinawa. He was honorably discharged in 1957. He attended barber school and returned to Shullsburg. Del was a traveling barber and cut hair in Dodgeville, WI, Milwaukee, WI, Shullsburg, Gratiot, WI, South Wayne, WI, and Argyle, WI for a number of years. He later owned and operated Del's Barber Shop in Shullsburg from 1963 until 1997. In 1980 he began selling insurance for American Family Insurance in Shullsburg and Gratiot.
Del is survived by his wife Jean at home, three daughters: Pam (John) Harker and Penny Tregloan both of Shullsburg, and Tricia (Mike) Borgrud of Deerfield, WI; step-children: Tom (Sharon) Teutschmann, Tim Teutschmann both of Shullsburg, Dick (Lauri) Teutschmann of Gratiot, WI, Roger (Lisa) Teutschmann of Waukesha, WI, Lisa (Bill) Holland of Apple River, IL, and Randy Teutschmann of Monroe, WI; one half-brother: Terry (Mary) Tregloan of Freeport, IL; one half-sister: Tammy (Mike) Halatek of Monroe, WI; step mother: Esther Tregloan of Monroe; grandchildren: Nathan (Tess), Matthew (Ashley), and Patrick Harker, Amber (Brandon) Capp, Garrett and Seth Borgrud, Jacquie, Megan, Patrick, Timothy, and Brian Holland, Beth and Kayla Teutschmann, Dylan and Riley Teutschmann, and Amanda and Jaime Teutschmann; great grandchildren: Abigail and Brooklyn Capp and Jack Harker. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Deloris in 1971; and one brother in infancy.
Del was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, The Glutton Club of Shullsburg, past Shullsbug city council member, and also a member of McCann-Richards American Legion Post #105 in Shullsburg. He loved riding the Goldwing, watching the Green Bay Packers, good food and conversation, and enjoyed going on drives with Jean.
A funeral service will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 11:00 A.M. at Centenary United Methodist Church (222 W. Church St, Shullsburg) with Rev. Jeffrey A. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Shullsburg where military graveside rites will be accorded by McCann-Richards American Legion Post #105 of Shullsburg. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Shullsburg is serving the family.
