BRODHEAD - Darwin C. Menehan, age 71, of Brodhead, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at UW-Hospital, Madison. He was born on December 26, 1940 in Monroe, WI, the son of Clarence and Alice (Walters) Menehan. He married Barb Olson on February 17, 2004 in Las Vegas, NV.

Dar had worked for Woodbridge Corp., of Brodhead for 27 years, retiring in 2003. He also was a bartender at the 'White Elephant' in Monroe and instrumental in starting the Ravine Ballpark. He enjoyed playing pool, cards, especially pinochle, and like watching basketball and football, especially the Oakland Raiders.

He is survived by his wife Barb, Brodhead; children, Chuck (Sandy) Menehan, Laurie Lauren, Troy (Angie) Menehan, all of Brodhead, Scott Menehan, Monroe; a step-daughter, Belinda (Todd Gibson) Curless, Brodhead; a good friend, Sharon Curless, Brodhead; a brother-in-law, Nate Bechtolt, Monroe; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Raymond Fiala, and a sister, Donna Bechtolt.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, with Rev. Peder Johanson officiating.
