Darlington man arrested for child pornography

DARLINGTON — The Darlington Police Department arrested a man for possession of child pornography on Monday, September 27. An organization tipped off the department, who executed a search warrant at a Main Street residence. An investigation into alleged possession of child pornography led to the occupant of the residence, Jesus Emanuel Utrera-Avendano, 20.  The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin Department of Justice assisted with executing the search warrant.

Utrera-Avendano was charged with five counts of possession of pornography, a class D felony that could result in up to 25 years in state prison, a maximum fine of $100,000, or both for each count. Avendano remained in jailed until receiving bail with the terms of $20,000.00 Cash Bond, remaining in the State of Wisconsin, having no contact with anyone under the age of 18, and no use of Internet (including a cell phone with Internet capabilities).
