BRODHEAD - Daniel L. DeRemer, age 65, of Brodhead, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at his home. He was born on December 21, 1947 in Monroe, WI, the son of Marshall S. and Hilva M. (Powers) DeRemer.

Daniel was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard, a messenger-driver for Swiss Colony of Monroe for over 30 years, and had worked for Huffcor of Janesville. He also raised angel fish for pet stores. He enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, rock 'n roll music and traveling.

Daniel is survived by his best friend, Linda Roberts of Brodhead; a daughter, Melanie (William) Leutenegger of Monroe; four sisters, Luella Mulligan, FL, Jean Hartwig, Fitchburg, WI, Marsha (Leo) Thomann, Albany, WI, Betty DeRemer, Monroe; four grandchildren, Jake, Lindsey, Reece Leutenegger and Trevor DeRemer. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Marvin Lee, a daughter, Billie Jo, and three brothers, Walt, Quintin and Marvin.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI. No other services will be held. Online condolences may be made at www.dlnewcomerfuneralhome.com.
