Daniel E. Notter, age 69, of Browntown, died on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at his home. He was born on July 29, 1940, in Monroe; the son of Herman and Vera ( Kloepping) Notter. Dan and Patricia Taggart were married on July 9, 1976.
He was a auto body and restoration repairman owning and operating Dan's Auto Body for 40 years. Dan had a great passion for cars, old and new.
Dan is survived by his wife, Patricia Notter of Browntown; his mother Vera Notter of New Glarus; his children, Ricky Notter of Madison, Jodi (Alan) Gerber of South Wayne and step-son Terry Notter of Rockford, IL; brothers, Richard (Grace) Notter, Roger, Norman, James and Randall Notter; a sister Mary Jane (Robert) Tuescher. 4 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman in 1975.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2009 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke funeral home, with Pastor Ray Sowersby, of Peace United Church of Christ, Browntown officiating. A visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
