Daniel C. Dalton, age 59, of Monroe, died on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg after suddenly being diagnosed with cancer. He was born on January 10, 1958, in Prairie Du Chien, WI; a few minutes before his twin brother, Dennis, the son of Robert and Norine (Barney) Dalton.

Dan stayed a short time in Prairie Du Chien, WI; before moving to Cassville, WI. By the time he was ready to start his education, his family had moved to Monroe where he attended Monroe Schools, graduating from Monroe High School.

Dan's love of Monroe and it's people were enriched with his employment at the Dairy Queen, Colony Brands mailroom, and his more than 40 years at the Jail House tending bar and talking to customers.

Anyone that knew Dan realized his love for the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. He was thrilled to have gone to the enshrinement ceremony at Canton, OH last summer for Brett Favre and to experience it with family members like so many other special occasions over the years.

Dan had a love for dogs, in addition, he collected dog and owl figurines.

He is survived by his siblings, Carolyn (Al) Thomann of Fort Atkinson, WI; Dennis Dalton of Orlando, FL; Edward (Tracy) Dalton of Hoffman Estates, IL; Terry (Sharon) Dalton of Akron, OH; Eugene (Kathleen) Dalton of Georgetown, TX; nephews, Rodger Thomann of Fort Atkinson, Aaron Dalton of Boise, ID; Tim (Wendy) Dalton of Collierville, TN; Pat (Kathi) Dalton of Windsor, CA; Michael (Dana) Dalton of Columbus, OH; Garrett Dalton (Fiancee, Natalie Polinski) of Schaumburg, IL; Nieces, Abby (Derek) McCoy of Windsor, WI; Teresa Dalton of Akron, OH; Kalli and Mollie Dalton of Hoffman Estates, IL.
