BRODHEAD - A Brodhead man with five convictions of driving drunk was arrested again on the same offense after crashing his truck outside his home Thursday, Aug. 22, according to a criminal complaint filed the next day in Green County Circuit Court.

Jerry Michael Johnson, 59, faces a Class H felony charge of driving while intoxicated. His signature bond is set at $5,000 with the conditions that he not drink or go into bars or liquor stores.

Johnson was backing a blue 1991 Ford Ranger out of his trailer park lot at 1006 21st St. when he struck another vehicle, court records indicate.

His record shows convictions of driving while intoxicated in November 1989, July 1997, October 1999, March 2002 and November 2003. He was sentenced to two years of probation and 180 days in jail for his fifth and most recent DWI conviction.
