MONROE - Green County Crime Stoppers is seeking information about incidents of mailbox vandalism that took place during the week of Sept. 21.
In Biggs and Adams townships, east of Argyle, 25 mailboxes were damaged. In addition, six signs marking intersections or stop signs were pulled from the ground.
The estimated damage to the mailboxes and signs is estimated in the hundreds of dollars.
Removing road signs could lead to a serious traffic crash, according to law enforcement authorities.
Anyone with information can contact Green County Crime Stoppers at (800) 422-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward for up to $1,000.
