MONROE - The Monroe Times incorrectly reported Tuesday in the article "Contractor wants (very) late payment" that a 2007 contract with Fehr-Graham and Associates set a cap on the number of hours worked for field observation of a construction project in TID 8, and that the field observation was billed at $800 per hour.

George Thompson, wastewater treatment plant supervisor, advised Wednesday that the 2007 contract was for time and materials, not to exceed $800 per day.

There was not a cap on the number of hours of construction observation. The invoices, as presented to the city, were for time and materials. The city agreed to pay the bills up to the rate of $800 per day. The Times regrets the error.
