WARREN, Ill. - Cleo Bondele, age 98 of Warren, passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2015 at the Pleasant View Manor in Monroe, WI.

She was born May 8, 1917 at home in Wiota Township to Mervin and Olive (Spore) Wicker. She was a graduate of Darlington High School the class of 1935. Cleo married Herbert Bondele in 1936. In September of 1947 Herbert passed away. A woman before her time, at 30 years old she was widowed with 3 young girls to raise and no income. Cleo was determined to keep her family together. With the support of family and neighbors, helping with child care she was able to meet her goal. She became a waitress at Windmillers restaurant, then worked at Almandingers dry cleaners in Warren until she became a secretary at Dekalb Ag Research from where she retired.

In her younger years she was a golfer, bowler, loved dancing and playing cards. Cleo loved traveling with friends. Her sister Lois and her took a train trip to California and had many stop and adventures along the way.

Cleo is survived by her 3 daughters- Joan (Jerry) Holm of Warren, Karen (Dalvin) Schultz of South Wayne, and Patricia (Duane) Shultz of Pulaski, WI; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 step-great grandchild; 7 great-great grandchildren; and a sister Deloris Falletti of Monroe.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert, sisters Marie Hale and Lois Brenum, special friend Herb Roberts, and a granddaughter Jerri Ann Holm in infancy.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Warren.

Prior to the service a visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. til time of service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Warren.

A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church.

Interment will take place at West Wiota Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
