Clara A. Nybroten, age 101, of New Glarus/Monroe, WI passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. She was born April 11, 1913 to Mathias and Anna (Arnold) Marty in Washington Township in Green County, WI. Clara was united in marriage to Glenn Nybroten on August 17, 1933 in Freeport, IL. She lived in Green County, WI all of her life. Clara Farmed in Adams Township, Green County with her husband for over 50 years. She moved to New Glarus in 1996.
Clara is survived by her son: Glenn Delano (Catherine) Nybroten, Monroe, WI; and her sister: Gloria (Bob) Jacobson, New Glarus, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 9, 1996; two brothers: Leon and Arnold Marty; and three sisters: Palma Fahey, Violet Cliff, and Leona Huseth.
Clara was a member of Adams Lutheran Church and its Women of the ELCA. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Adams Lutheran Church, County Road A, Adam's Township, with Rev. Rick Fry officiating. Burial will be at Adams Lutheran Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. until time of services at the church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family.
