The court Thursday entered into a deferred prosecution agreement and sentenced Jason M. Dunlap, 24, Monroe to two years probation after he pleaded no contest to several charges.
In his first case, Dunlap pleaded no contest to possession of marijuana. The court will dismiss the charges in one year if he complies with the terms of the agreement. He faced up to six months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines for the unclassified misdemeanor.
Court records indicate he had marijuana in his possession Nov. 4 in Monroe.
In a second case, the court sentenced him to two years probation after he pleaded no contest to bail jumping.
Court records indicate he drove his vehicle while on bond for driving after revocation Dec. 27.
The court dismissed one count of possession of marijuana, a class I felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor. He originally faced more than four years in prison and up to $20,500 in fines.
