Green County Felonies

MONROE - Christopher E. Leopold, 39, South Wayne, was found guilty Sept. 13 after pleading guilty to a charge of a second offense of possession of THC, a class I felony, stemming from a May 4 incident.

Court records indicate that Leopold was knowingly in possession of THC, in the form of marijuana. He was convicted of a similiar charge back in October 2008.

- Joshua T. Moon, 31, Cathedral City, Calif., was found guilty on Sept. 9, after pleading no contest to a charge of possessing psilocybin, an unclassified misdemeanor, stemming from a May 29, 2009 incident. Court records indicate that Moon was in possession of 100 grams of psilocybin. He was sentenced to three years probation and fined $80.

Moon was also found guilty on Sept. 9 after pleading no contest to a charge of bail jumping, a class H felony, stemming from a Nov. 3, 2009 incident. Court records indicate that Moon intentionally failed to appear at a pre-trial conference on Nov. 3, stemming from the charges following the May 29, 2009 incident. He was sentenced to three years probation, to be served concurrently with the possession charge, and fined $1,485.70.

- Paul W. Marti, 24, Albany, was found guilty on Sept. 6 after pleading no contest to two counts of disorderly conduct, both class B misdemeanors and battery, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from a March 1 and March 2 incident.

Court records indicate that Marti grabbed a victim by the arms, throwing her to the floor and straddling her, then screaming and yelling at the victim within inches of her face. He grabbed the victim's cell phone, calling her obscene names. Marti grabbed the victim's sweatshirt hood and used it as a ligature, causing soreness, pain, hoarseness and difficulty breathing. He hit the victim in the leg with his knee, causing pain and bruising. He was fined a total of $463.

Misdemeanors

- Lawrence D. Venden, 30, Milwaukee, was found guilty on Sept. 12, after pleading no contest to a charge of absconding without paying rent, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from an Aug. 1, 2009 incident. Venden's case was a deferred prosecution and sentence, where he is to follow the prosecution agreement, including preventing future law violations. He was fined $87.

- Jennifer A. Jaworski, 29, Milwaukee, was found guilty on Sept. 12, after pleading no contest to a charge of absconding without paying rent, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from an Aug. 1, 2009 incident. Jaworski's case was a deferred prosecution and sentence, where she is to follow the prosecution agreement, including preventing future law violations. She was fined $87.
