Felonies
Jesse Alan Partridge, 21, jailed in Rock County, was sentenced to nine months in jail for revoking his probation on multiple felony charges from 2011. He will also be on probation for three years. He was originally charged with using someone else's debit card at Albany Mini Mart and stealing a large ornate knife and sheath from a home in Albany in May 2011, prowling and breaking into vehicles parked in the Monroe Clinic lot in Monroe in July 2011, stealing cast-iron sewer grates from the City of Monroe in Aug. 2011 and concealing a stolen red Schwinn bicycle in September 2011. Court records indicate he revoked his original probation by repeatedly failing to show up for appointments with his agent, using marijuana and drinking. The agent noted Partridge has ignored multiple warnings that "he should not be selling drugs or using illegal drugs or alcohol."
Jerry Robert Davis, Jr., 40, Monroe, pleaded no contest Aug. 30 to a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, to begin Sept. 20, and fined $343. A felony bail jumping charge was dismissed. The charges stem from an incident April 19 at a residence in the 1300 block of 10th Street in Monroe. Court records indicate he yelled, swore, pushed and hit a woman, fought and wrestled with others and knocked over an oscillating fan, damaging it and the arm of a kitchen chair.
Joshua T. Moon, 33, incarcerated, was sentenced to 18 months in prison and 18 months of extended supervision, minus 208 days served, for revoking his probation on a felony bail jumping conviction from 2009. Court records indicate he has absconded twice from his supervision, refused to speak with or cooperate with his probation agent and smoked marijuana. He was extradited from California in May. While in Arizona before that, he led officers on a high-speed chase, nearly hitting a highway worker, and stopped only after law enforcement threw down road blocks to stop him. He then got out of the vehicle with his hands up, "wearing an open bath robe and his underwear." The probation agent noted Moon "has now again shown no regard for complying with the rules of supervision."
Richard Earl Carr, 23, Monroe, was charged Aug. 27 with felony bail jumping, for failing to appear in court July 25 for a plea/sentencing hearing at the Green County Justice Center. A warrant is filed for his arrest.
Chad Allen Schneider, 41, New Glarus, was charged Aug. 27 with three counts of felony bail jumping, a Class H felony count of strangulation and suffocation and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct. The charges stem from an incident two days earlier at an apartment in the 300 block of Elmer Road in New Glarus. Schneider allegedly yelled and swore at a woman and shoved her into a window, causing it to break and cut her hand, and grabbed her around the neck and squeezed, leaving bruising. His preliminary hearing is Sept. 5.
Lindsay F. Mohrbacher, 29, Brodhead, was charged Sept. 4 with a Class H felony count of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and two misdemeanor counts of obtaining a prescription drug by fraud. Court records indicate she called in fraudulent prescriptions to Pinnow Pharmacy in Brodhead and to Shopko and Walmart in Monroe for narcotic medications containing hydrocodone, including Lortab and Norco. Her initial appearance is Sept. 23.
Misdemeanors
Richard Allen White, 51, Dubuque, Iowa, pleaded no contest Aug. 29 to a Class A misdemeanor charge of retail theft and was fined $326. Records indicate he shoplifted a comforter and car stereo with a combined value of $121 on June 25 from Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W., Monroe.
Thomas Allen McLean, 25, Monroe, pleaded no contest Aug. 30 to a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, with Huber work release, and fined $243. Misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass to a dwelling and obstructing an officer were dismissed. The charges stem from an incident June 12 outside a residence in the W4100 block of County W in Exeter Township. Court records indicate McLean yelled at a woman, punched out the window of her parents' van, lied to police about how he got cuts on his hands and trespassed into a nearby dwelling.
Marc Alan Johnson, 47, Rockford, Ill., pleaded no contest Aug. 30 to a misdemeanor charge of possessing marijuana, stemming from a traffic stop April 20 on Clarence Lane at Wisconsin 81 in Spring Grove Township. He is fined $297.10.
Michael R. Fricks, 24, Monroe, pleaded no contest Aug. 30 to misdemeanor charges of battery and taking and driving a vehicle without the owner's consent. He is sentenced to two years of probation. Other misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct, bail jumping, breaking/entering and a second count of taking and driving a vehicle without the owner's consent were dismissed. Conditions of his probation include paying about $8,900 in restitution and court fees, finding and maintaining a job or going to school full time and undergoing a mental health assessment. The charges stem from a dispute in early January in the N2300 block of Bethel Road in Clarno Township. Court records indicate Fricks yelled and swore and hit a man in the jaw, then the next day came back to the residence and broke into a locked shed and tried to tow out a Ford Ranger truck using an ATV that did not belong to him, before getting stuck in the snow. In a letter to the court from Frick's mother, she wrote this was "not a one-time occurrence" and her son needs counseling. If he successfully completes his probation, he may petition to have the charges expunged, under a state law that gives leniency to youthful offenders.
Edward Ivory Smith, 31, Madison, pleaded guilty Aug. 30 to a Class A misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer conducting a traffic stop on Dec. 11 in the parking lot of Jack Link's in the 200 block of Industrial Drive in New Glarus. Court records indicate Smith got out of the vehicle and ran into a nearby building, hiding in the bathroom. He is fined $631.
Shane David Riley, 27, Monroe, and Frederick E. Zoller, 57, Belleville, are each charged with a Class B misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct stemming from a "mutual combat" fight between the two men on June 24 in the N8200 block of County X in Exeter Township. Court records indicate the fight started because Zoller, Riley's girlfriend's father, was intoxicated and mad about Riley not paying rent. Riley has pleaded not guilty and has a pre-trial conference Oct. 15. Zoller has an initial appearance Sept. 23.
