GREEN COUNTY
FELONIES
Corey Lee Coplien, 38, Monroe, was sentenced to one year of probation and fined $443 after pleading no contest to a charge of possession of cocaine Monday. The charge stems from an incident on Sept. 10 when a police officer saw Coplien driving at the intersection of 5th Avenue and 21st Street in Monroe and apprehended him, knowing Coplien had three warrants for his arrest. During a search of Coplien's vehicle, the officer found a baggie of cocaine under the driver's seat. Coplien was fined an additional $200.50 for driving with a revoked license.
MISDEMEANORS
Bradley Andrew Munz, 27, Monroe, was sentenced to two years of probation and 100 hours of community service after pleading no contest Monday to a misdemeanor charge of possession of THC and an unrelated Class A misdemeanor charge of bail jumping. The charge stems from an incident Feb. 12 when police investigated a 911 call regarding a drug overdose in the 1400 block of 15th Avenue. Police resuscitated a woman who had overdosed in Munz's apartment. Although Munz claimed the woman had used her own drugs without his knowledge, the woman later stated she had bought the drugs from Munz and police found drug paraphernalia and marijuana in Munz's apartment. The charge of bail jumping stemmed from a June 17 incident when Munz violated a restraining injunction by entering the subject's workplace. As part of a deferred prosecution agreement, additional charges of bail jumping, possession of paraphernalia and distribution of heroin near a school were dropped.
