Misdemeanors
Matthew Donald Siegel, 20, Friendship, pleaded no contest to a Class A misdemeanor count of criminal damage to property and a Class B misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct as part of a plea agreement. He was sentenced to four years of probation. He also owes the court $352. A Class H felony of child abuse and two Class A misdemeanor counts of bail jumping were dismissed as part of the agreement. The charges stem from an incident in Albany, near Clarno, when Siegel became angry at a 17-year-old girl. According to the police report, the victim said Siegel slammed her head into a garage door, causing an ear laceration, pain and other injuries. Siegel fled, but was later located after becoming involved in another altercation within the 2300 block of 17th Avenue in Monroe, returning to smash a resident's car with a hammer while wearing a ski mask.
James Mitchell Doyle, 31, Belleville, signed a $2,000 signature bond Oct. 23. He faces four misdemeanor charges; two for publicly posting a depiction of a person without her consent and two counts of bail jumping. The bond has the condition he have no contact with the person connected to the charges. Doyle has a pre-trial conference scheduled for Nov. 21. The charges stem from an incident in which Doyle allegedly posted a nude, sexually explicit photo of a woman to the social media website Facebook as a way of "getting back at her for all their child custody issues." Court records indicate that when the woman deleted it, he allegedly reposted the photo.
Regina Marie Mauel, 58, and Jeff Scott Mauel, 49, both of Brooklyn, signed $500 signature bonds Oct. 23. Conditions of the bond prohibit either of them from possessing or consuming intoxicants and entering establishments that have a primary purpose of selling intoxicants. During initial appearances that day in Green County Circuit Court, Regina pleaded not guilty to the charges. Jeff stood mute and the court entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. Both face one Class B misdemeanor of disorderly conduct. The charges stem from a domestic dispute Sept. 1 between the husband and wife at their home in the N9400 block of Legler Road. The dispute began two days earlier after the husband complained about the cooking of a meatloaf taking too much time, to which Regina responded that "if he did not like it, then he could cook, clean and do other chores around the house." It escalated over time into a physical confrontation. Regina told deputies she was "fed up with his drinking" and that he taunted her to the point of retaliation, throwing a soda can at him and hitting him. She said she was ashamed of her behavior, "especially in front of the kids." Both have pre-trial conferences scheduled for Nov. 7.
Darren Misner, 23, Beloit, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of possession of THC. A second charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed Oct. 25. Misner owes the court $473.50 in fines. The charges stemmed from an incident in late June, when Misner was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Misner was found with 43 grams of marijuana when he was stopped for failing to display a front license plate.
