Green County

Felonies

• Christopher Alan Sanwick, 42, Brodhead, was charged Monday, Nov. 12, with a Class H felony of stealing a vehicle in Brodhead and a Class A misdemeanor of resisting/obstructing an officer. Court records indicate he took a white 2006 Dodge pickup truck and trailer from 1801 East 3rd Avenue without the consent of the owner, Carter & Gruenewald Company, drove it to Cardinal Lanes Bowling Alley, 2107 1st Center Ave., and then lied about the incident to a Brodhead Police officer. His preliminary hearing is scheduled Nov. 30.

• Jacob L. Gassman, 18, Monroe, was charged Monday, Nov. 12, with a Class I felony of delivering 14 grams of marijuana to a confidential informant working with the State Line Area Narcotics Team (SLANT) in a parking lot at 103 North 20th Avenue in Monroe on Sept. 19. A warrant for Gassman's arrest was filed with the criminal complaint.

• Donta Racine Euells, 31, Freeport, Ill., was charged Monday, Nov. 12, with two Class F felony counts of delivering cocaine. Court records indicate he delivered cocaine twice - 2.4 grams July 19 and 3.9 grams Aug. 1 - to an undercover SLANT officer near the Lucky 7 gas station, 710 21st St., Monroe. A warrant for Euells' arrest was filed with the criminal complaint.

Misdemeanors

• Lavelle Thomas Conner-Hatchet, 24, Freeport, Ill., was charged Thursday, Nov. 8, with misdemeanor bail jumping stemming from an incident that occurred the previous day in Monticello. Court records indicate Conner-Hatchet was arrested driving a Volkswagen on East Lake Avenue at North Pratt Road, a violation of a $2,000 signature bond condition that he not drive. The bond is on a July charge of causing injury by crashing a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He pleaded not guilty Monday, Nov. 12, to the bail jumping charge. His next court date is Dec. 18.

Lafayette County

Felonies

• John J. Scanlan, 38, Benton, was charged Thursday, Nov. 8, with a Class I felony of child abuse by recklessly causing harm and misdemeanors of battery and disorderly conduct. Court records indicate he peppersprayed a woman and 8-year-old child on 1st Street in Benton on Sept. 29. His initial appearance in court is scheduled Nov. 19.
