Felonies

• The court Monday scheduled a July 7 district attorney conference for Joel A. Hale, 36, Browntown, who pleaded not guilty to drunken driving charges.

Court records allege he was intoxicated while driving April 30 in Monroe.

He is charged with drunken driving, fifth- or sixth-offense, and driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration, fifth- or sixth-offense, both class H felonies. He faces up to 12 years in prison and up to $20,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a$3,000 signature bond.

• Scott Simpson, 46, Monroe, remains free on a $1,000 signature bond after making his initial appearance Tuesday for drug possession.

Court records allege he had about 4 grams of marijuana in his possession May 6 in Washington township.

He is charged with possession of marijuana, a class I felony. He faces more than three years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, if convicted.

His preliminary hearing is June 8.

• The court May 15 scheduled a June 30 district attorney conference for Jonathan Mack, 21, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to attempting to flee an officer.

Court records allege he failed to stop and increased his vehicle's speed when signaled by officers April 6 in Monroe.

He is charged with attempting to flee an officer, a class I felony. He faces more than three years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $1,000 signature bond.

Misdemeanors

• The court Monday scheduled a July 7 district attorney and entered a plea of not guilty for Shaun L. Koss, 29, Albany, who stood mute to criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct charges.

Court records allege he broke a DVD player, ripped a photo and turned over an end table March 22 in Monroe.

He is charged with criminal damage to property, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to one year in jail and up to $11,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $750 signature bond.

• The court May 15 scheduled a July 7 district attorney conference for Eric P. Mallory, 21, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.

Court records allege he broke a window in a vehicle and yelled at a person March 30 in Monroe.

He is charged with criminal damage to property, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to one year in jail and up to $11,0000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $1,000 signature bond.

• The court Monday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a July 7 district attorney conference for Werner J. Rast, 47, Monroe, who stood mute to charges of bail jumping and disorderly conduct.

Court records allege he stomped on a compact disc case that contained CDs and approached a woman in an aggressive manner March 12 in Monroe. He was on bail for bail jumping, battery and disorderly conduct at the time of the incident.

He is charged with bail jumping, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to one year in jail and up to $11,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $750 signature bond.

• The court Monday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a July 7 district attorney conference for Danny E. Shickles, 33, Brodhead, who stood mute to a charge of disorderly conduct.

Court records allege he ripped photos from the wall and kicked over lamps March 13 in a Spring Grove township residence.

He is charged with disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to three months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $250 signature bond.
