Felonies

• The court Thursday sentenced Jeanette A. Axelson, 25, Brodhead, to three years probation and 15 days in jail after she pleaded no contest to two counts of possession of narcotic drugs.

She faced up to seven years in prison and up to $20,000 for the Class I felonies.

The court dismissed two counts of obstructing an officer, both Class A misdemeanors, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, both unclassified misdemeanors. She originally faced more than eight years in prison and up to $41,000 in fines.

Court records indicate she had morphine in her possession Oct. 1 and March 16 in Brodhead.

• The court scheduled a June 30 district attorney conference for Angela A. Arians, 33, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty Wednesday to burglary and theft.

Court records allege she entered a residence and took personal checks Nov. 18 and Nov. 20 in Monroe.

She is charged with burglary, a Class F felony, and theft, a Class A misdemeanor. She faces more than 13 years in prison and up to $35,000 in fines, if convicted.

She remains free on a $5,000 signature bond.

Misdemeanors

• The court Wednesday entered into an 18-month deferred prosecution agreement with Tyler D. Johnson, 21, Monroe, who pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct as a repeat offender.

The court will dismiss the charges in 18 months if he complies with the terms of the agreement.

He faced more than two years in jail and up to $1,000 in fines for the Class B misdemeanor.

Court records indicate he yelled and threatened a woman and threw a coffee cup at a wall Feb. 23 in a Monroe residence. He was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia in 2005 and theft in 2006.

In a second case, the court entered into an 18-month deferred prosecution after Johnson pleaded no contest to bail jumping.

The court will dismiss the charges in 18 months if he complies with the terms of the agreement.

Court records indicate he drank alcohol while on bond for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property charges March 1 in New Glarus township.

• The court Thursday entered into a one-year deferred prosecution agreement with Michael J. Landen, 34, Monroe, who pleaded no contest to battery.

The court will dismiss the charges in one year if he complies with the terms of the agreement.

He faced up to nine months in jail and up to $10,000 for the Class A misdemeanor.

The court dismissed one count of battery, a Class A misdemeanor, and one count of disorderly conduct, a Class B misdemeanor. He originally faced up to 21 months in jail and up to $21,000.

Court records indicate he pushed a woman which caused her to fall Nov. 30 in a Monroe residence.

In a second case, the court entered into a one-year deferred prosecution with Landen after he pleaded no contest to bail jumping.

He faced up to nine months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines for the Class A misdemeanor.

Court records indicate he drank alcohol while on bond for disorderly conduct Jan. 13 in Brodhead.

• The court Wednesday fined Faron D. Geller, 31, North Maple Grove, Minn., $324 after he pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct.

He faced up to three months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines for the Class B misdemeanor.

The court dismissed one count of intimidation of a witness, a Class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a Class B misdemeanor. He originally faced more than one year in jail and up to $12,000 in fines.

Court records indicate he locked a woman out of a residence and yelled at her from a window Oct. 7 in Brodhead.

• The court Thursday fined Jordan D. Hermanson, 24, Monroe, $224 after he pleaded no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia.

He faced up to 30 days in jail and up to $500 for the unclassified misdemeanor.

Court records indicate he had smoking pipes and other drug paraphernalia in his possession July 14 in Monroe.

• The court Thursday fined Logan L. Hermanson, 25, Monroe, $224 after he pleaded no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia.

He faced up to 30 days in jail and up to $500 for the unclassified misdemeanor.

Court records indicate he had smoking pipes and other drug paraphernalia in his possession July 14 in Monroe.
