On Thursday:
Andrew J. Scoles, 35, Monroe, was sentenced to nine months imprisonment after revoking his probation stemming from an incident that occurred on April 1. Scoles was found guilty of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct and possessing marijuana in December 2012. He was appealing his original sentence before violating conditions of his probation. He owes the court $281.40
Misdemeanors
On Thursday:
William Docherty, 32, Monroe, was sentenced to nine months imprisonment with work-release privileges after revoking his probation stemming from an incident that occurred on March 28. Docherty was found guilty of driving while intoxicated and driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration, both fourth offenses, on Aug. 13. Docherty violated his terms of probation by consuming alcohol on March 28. He owes the court $4,004.
Benjamin R. Normington, 28, Brodhead, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea of misdemeanor possession of an illegally obtained prescription. He also had two misdemeanor counts of possessing drug paraphernalia and one felony count of possessing narcotic drugs dismissed. Normington will be on probation for one year and owes a forfeiture fine of $176. Court records indicate he was pulled over for stickers obstructing his rear view on Dec. 29. A K-9 unit alerted to drugs in the vehicle and the responding officer found two bottles of Wild Turkey bourbon, a clear glass pot pipe, a digital scale and one tablet of Oxycodone located in the bottom of a pack of Newport cigarettes.
Arnold L. Hansen Jr., 41, Brodhead, had one count of misdemeanor bail jumping dismissed on a prosecutor's motion. The charge stems from an incident that occurred on March 4. Hansen owes no fines because the charge was dismissed.
Arnold L. Hansen Jr., 41, Brodhead, will serve 18 months on probation as a result of a deferred prosecution agreement for a charge of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct. If Hansen complies with all conditions of the deferred prosecution agreement he could have the charge dismissed. He also had a charge of bail jumping dismissed. Court records indicate a child called 911 and told dispatchers her mother was getting "thrown around" by Hansen. Hansen told the responding officer he was arguing with the woman because he had clogged the toilet from flushing Q-tips down it. He allegedly grabbed the woman by the neck and was shaking her. The responding officer said the woman had red marks around her collarbone. Hansen owes a fine of $343.
Lafayette County
Juan D. Arizmendi-Solano, 20, Darlington, had a signature bond set at $1,000 on Thursday with additional conditions that he have no violent or abusive contact with the victim in this case. Arizmendi-Solano was charged with domestic abuse-related battery and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident that occurred on March 16. If convicted for the maximum penalty, he could face up to $11,000 in fines or one year imprisonment or both. Arizmendi-Solano has a status conference set for July 18.
