On Friday:
Alex J. Hady, 32, Belleville, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea of disorderly conduct; he had three additional charges of disorderly conduct dismissed. Hady had a cash bond previously paid applied to his fine of $330.50. Court records indicate that on Nov. 28, police responded to a one-truck accident in the W1500 block of County C and saw Hady standing by the car which had run into a power pole and started a tree on fire. As police approached Hady, he put a Busch Light can on the hood of his truck and fell over, hitting his head. While waiting for EMS, Hady told an officer that after he crashed his truck he "slammed" two beers. A field sobriety test was conducted and Hady was yelling and swearing throughout the test. In the ambulance on the way to the Monroe Clinic Hospital, Hady continued to yell and swear. At the hospital, Hady yelled and swore at the doctors and nurses. After he was medically cleared, he began yelling and swearing at the officers again. Hady was also found guilty due to a no-contest plea of driving while intoxicated, first offense, stemming from the same incident. He will have his license revoked for nine months and is ordered to install an ignition interlock device for a period of one year upon relicensing. Hady paid a fine of $937.
Brandon A. Salyer, 43, Monroe, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea of driving while intoxicated, third offense; he also had a charge of driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration dismissed. Salyer was sentenced to six months in jail and had his driver's license revoked for 30 months. He was ordered to install an ignition interlock device for one year upon relicensing. Court records indicate that on April 6, an officer observed a car go through a stop sign on 14th Avenue in Monroe and turned on the emergency lights to pull the car over. Salyer continued to drive for several blocks and stopped in front of his home in the 2000 block of 17th Avenue. While the officer was conducting a field sobriety test, Salyer's wife came outside and said that Salyer was likely drunk. Salyer had a preliminary breath test of .231 percent and a PAC of .234 percent.
