Christopher L. Sibley, 30, Monroe, was found guilty Thursday due to a guilty plea of domestic abuse-related battery as a repeat offender. Sibley also had charges of disorderly conduct, two counts of criminal damage to property and entry to a building dismissed. Sibley was sentenced to nine months in jail beginning April 2 with work release privileges. Police reports indicate that in January 2014, Sibley hit and injured a woman, sending her to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Sibley owes a fine of $261. Sibley was also found guilty due to a no-contest plea of unlawful use of a phone, threatening harm stemming from an incident that occurred April 29. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail to be served concurrently to his other sentence.

William R. Pollock, 23, Darlington, had his two-year probation revoked Feb. 25 and was sentenced Wednesday to five months in jail with work release privileges. Pollock was sentenced to two years of probation on a May 2013 conviction for two charges of issuing worthless checks. Pollock owes a fine of $176. Pollock also revoked his probation of a case with the same charges stemming from an incident that occurred in April 2012. He was sentenced to five months in jail to run concurrently with his other sentence. He owes a fine of $64.95.
