FELONIES

Todd S. Truttmann, 43, incarcerated, was sentenced on March 9 to two years in prison and 30 months of extended supervision after he pleaded no contest to revoking his probation on Feb. 7. He was serving a three-year probation for a 2009 Class I felony conviction of substantial battery.

MISDEMEANORS

Jeffery W. Walters, 53, incarcerated, pleaded no contest on March 6 to escaping from the Green County Jail in January while out on Huber work-release privileges, a Class A misdemeanor. He is fined $883 for the offense.

- Douglas Michael Artman, 31, Monroe, pleaded no contest on March 7 to misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated (third offense) and possessing 5.3 grams of marijuana, stemming from a November arrest in Monroe. He was sentenced to six months in jail, with Huber work-release privileges. His license is revoked for 30 months, and he was ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment. Charges of possessing drug paraphernalia (a marijuana pipe) and operating a vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration were dismissed. He owes a total of $2,171 in fines.

- Michael A. Laffin, 21, Monroe, pleaded no contest on March 8 to a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. Court records indicate Laffin threatened and physically abused a female victim at his Monroe home in December. He was granted a one-year deferred prosecution, on the conditions that he undergo anger management counseling, complete his high school degree and take a class in job-hunting skills at Blackhawk Technical College, attend monitoring conferences and have no contact with the victim. He owes the court $263.
