Green County
Misdemeanors
Corey Nelson, 19, New Glarus, was arrested and jailed for impaired driving and domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct Monday after he allegedly yelled and swore at a woman he knows, and then fled the scene in a car. He also is charged with an underage alcohol violation, having open intoxicants in his car and operating without a valid license. Police records indicate after Nelson made his initial appearance Monday, the court set a $750 bond that orders him not to drink, go into bars or liquor stores or have any contact with the victim or her residence in the 500 block of 14th Avenue. The woman told investigators she and Nelson had been living together for about two months. When she came home early Monday, he reportedly told her to leave, got in her face, raised his fists and lurched toward her. According to court records, she called police and he left the residence before they arrived. She reportedly described the car Nelson was driving to police, who saw him driving nearby and stopped him. He has a pre-trial conference July 28.
