The man told investigators he and Vangilder had been arguing when she punched him in the face and head, used a lit cigarette to burn his face and hand and threatened to kill him. Police arrested and jailed Vangilder May 25 after they responded to another domestic disturbance at the residence and asked her about the May 16 incident. She has an initial appearance June 15.
